Letter from the Artistic Director

Dear Friend of the Rep,

For those of you that had the opportunity to attend our production of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie, you were treated to one of the most compelling and nuanced interpretations I have had the joy of seeing live. This was followed shortly thereafter by an equally moving presentation of Moonglow. Such solid performances are a strong affirmation as to the talents that abound in Northwest Ohio and I thank cast and crew of both productions for their work and dedication to their craft.

Our 2013-2014 season of Mainstage performances concludes with the outrageous musical comedy, Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein: The Musical. If you liked the movie you will LOVE the musical; with all of your favorite characters such as "Eye-gore", Frau Blücher, Inspector Kemp, Inga, our lovable "zipper neck" The Monster, and of course Dr. Von Frankenstein (or is that Fraunkensteen?). Join us at the Tenth Street Theatre for a night of cerebral silliness and "Abby-normal" fun.

As the summer approaches, please consider purchasing a season subscription to the upcoming season at The Rep. One of highlights of my year as your Artistic Director was to assemble the following 2014-2015 Season of Productions:

The Pirates of Penzance by William S. Gilbert & Arthur Sullivan
September 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 2014

By definition, a repertoire theatre should be steeped in the classics of the stage. It has been my great joy to assemble for you a season filled with drama, mystery, humor and panache in these popular and timeless classics. I hope that you-as Friends of The Rep-will join me in supporting, auditioning and attending this grand panoply of theatre in the upcoming season.

The 2014-2015 Season Brochure is now available; contact The Rep office at 419-243-9277 or kmcgovern@toledorep.org if you do not already receive our Season Subscriber mailings.
