A Letter from the Artistic Director

Something quite wonderful and exciting is about to happen amongst the family here at The Toledo Repertoire Theatre. And it really has nothing to do with putting on shows. Our Technical Director Judson and his wife Sara are about to become parents for the very first time.

As a proud parent of a four-year old boy myself, I am both excited for them and a little bit envious that it’s not happening for me again. But at our “advanced” baby birthing age, if my wife and I had another child he/she would probably be born an adult.

And what better time for a baby to be born than the month of May! The flowers are blooming, or at least have made plans to bloom, a new season of shows has been announced for our 80th Anniversary season, and we’ve added cashews to our concessions menu!  It doesn’t get any better than that.

Don’t forget, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas the final offering of our 79th season, opens in early June and tickets are going fast  So order yours today! And if you’re reading this at 2:00 am like I am writing it, remember in addition to calling the box office during normal hours at 419-243-9277, you can order your tickets online, 24 hours a day.
